About Us

Andrew graduated 1984 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery BDS from Otago University and practised for 2 years as a Dental House Surgeon In both Hutt and Wellington Hospitals. He has enjoyed private clinical practice in Wellington for some 30 years since and has established more recently, Dental SleepMed. 

During his career Andrew has had a particular interest in the field of Dental Sleep Medicine. 

Snoring and Sleep Apnoea are very under-recognised conditions which can often carry significant health risks. Andrew works closely with the Respiratory Physicians and the technical Team at the University of Otago WellSleep Centre. Dental devices, appropriate advice and follow-up can often be a very effective strategies for managing these conditions. 

Andrew maintains his enthusiasm for dentistry and blends it with his family life and a passion for surfing, mountain-biking and all-things outdoors.
